Case Study - The Association of Energy Services Professionals

 

 

Challenge

 

The Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) is a membership organization serving those who design, create and implement energy efficiency programs on behalf of utilities.

 

AESP members are on the front lines of empowering America to be more energy efficient, but their message was getting lost amid the technical nature of its members work.

 

The association wanted a media relations campaign so that potential members, sponsors and the general public knew more about AESP and what its members were accomplishing.

 

Solution

 

We developed a PR campaign that combined the industry perspective with a new consumer-friendly message: How easy it is to save energy. We amassed energy efficiency products and demonstrated them in television stories that showed viewers how easy and inexpensive it is to save energy.

 

Spots appeared with AESP executives as spokespeople in cities across the country, including Los Angeles, Orlando, Seattle, and San Diego. National television coverage included CNN, and online articles included Forbes and NBC.

 

Results

 

Our campaign garnered hundreds of thousands of media impressions for AESP. AESP executives were called upon to comment on energy efficiency issues by national media AESP vendors recorded new agreements with utilities based on televised demonstrations of their products.
